Days 8 and 9 - Rain, hills, moose, deer and good people in God's country

“Staying in Ovando tonight - the locals are handing me cash in support of the ride…”

-Whiskey6

Whiskey6 is spending the night tonight in Ovando, Montana (apparently in a teepee??). In the past two days he has covered 132 miles and is now at about mile 547 for the journey - including something like 29,000 vertical feet of climbing. Today he made it up and over a 9000+ foot pass and spent several hours in the rain. His spirits and motivation seem strong and, as the quote suggests, he is meeting many helpful and supportive people along the way. Videos provide an update in his own words.
